Beretta admired and fell in love with Kinji while in HSS mode following his battle with Kinzou Tohyama to where she recommended to her employer to give him a loan. However, she had him captured to force him to repay it following his retirement as a Butei. This would not affect her feelings for Kinji as she loved him and was jealous of when he is with another girl and even fought with Aria over who "owned" him.
